The Verge (2025)
Over 100 years after its first publication, our intermedial adaptation of The Verge reimagined Susan Glaspell’s expressionist play for a contemporary audience, exploring obsession, fractured identity, and the instability of reality in today’s media-saturated world.
Combining live cameras, immersive projection, film and animation, the piece blurred the boundaries between physical and mediated space. Pre-made videos and animations functioned as an additional character within the performance, while live camera feeds revealed moments of interiority in real time. Using two large-scale projectors, I transformed the theatre through projection mapping onto unconventional surfaces - including beach balls, beams, and architectural elements - continuously reshaping the space throughout the production.
